Parent Involvement

Envolvimiento de los Padres

The Early Childhood Learning Services creates high quality services by partnering with parents. There are many opportunities for parent involvement. Parents are children's first and are most important in a child's education. When parents care about school, children care about school!

Children love to have their parents volunteer in their classrooms! It makes them feel special. Parents can learn more about how children learn simply by being in the classrooms. This experience may offer parents valuable training that can lead to later employment opportunities.

DADS! Fathers and other male role models are very important.  Men volunteering in classrooms are heroes to young children. Every minute an adult shares in the classroom tells children that they are important.

Each classroom has four parent-teacher meetings a year to keep families informed about children's progress. Parents can attend many information meetings on subjects like parenting, job training, nutrition, and many more. Parents can receive help in obtaining their General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or other educational opportunities.

Parents can also take a leadership role by becoming a classroom representative in the Policy Council.
